After seven years of low mileage I am coming out of marathon retirement to run the London Marathon (I know, I did say never again.!).
Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK and the second biggest cancer killer.
Bowel cancer can affect anyone of any age. More than 2,600 new cases are diagnosed each year in people under the age of 50.
Mike was one of the unfortunate ones who was diagnosed at age 38 and passed away at age 40 on the 30th April 2012. He lives on in the hearts of everyone he loved and we all miss him more than words can ever say.
I am running to raise funds to help stop people dying from this terrible disease and because I want to keep his memory alive for our daughter.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and any donation no matter how small is very much appreciated by all Mike's family, friends and Bowel Cancer UK.
